During the recent filming in Split, for the lifestyle documentary series Sea, Sun & Hedonism by EMBRACE CROATIA, we had the pleasure to film Štorija, and was immediately struck by the rich history and unique flavors of this acclaimed establishment.

From its origins in the time of Diocletian to its modern-day reputation as one of the best places in Split, Štorija has a story worth sharing.

Located in the heart of Split’s historic Diocletian Palace, Štorija offers a unique blend of tradition and modernity.

Diocletian, who was a Roman emperor born in Croatia. He ruled from 284 to 305 AD and is known for his efforts to stabilize the Roman Empire after a period of internal conflict and economic turmoil.

Diocletian’s reign is often marked as the end of the Crisis of the Third Century.
